How does the Renter Alerts feature work?

The "Renter Alerts" feature lets renters set up email availability alerts for currently-leased units.  When the unit becomes available, the renter gets an email letting them know. You can see all renters who have created an availability alert and you can add, edit, and delete those entries as you see fit.

The Renter Alerts List is totally private to you. Renters only receive a notification when a unit becomes available, but they cannot see the other names on your Renter Alert List. Renters cannot see their position, or any other details. In fact, you can totally ignore the Renter Alerts List if it's not helpful to you, and prospects will still be able to receive availability notifications automatically.

Enabling or Disabling the Renter Alerts List for a Property

To enable the Renter Alerts List feature for a property, log in to RentLinx and click "Manage Properties" on the left.

Click the name of the property you want to edit.

Scroll down to the "Property Details" section and click "Edit Property Details".

Choose "Open" for the Waitlist. (If you do not want renters to be able to set up the availability alerts, choose "Closed.") Click "Save".

Viewing and Managing The Renter Alerts List

To see prospects who have created availability alerts, log in to RentLinx, then click "Manage Renter Alerts" on the left.

You can filter the list to a specific property or unit using the "Explore" box.

You can add, edit, and delete prospects from the Renter Alerts List.

To see a renter's contact information, just click on "Edit".
